When my sister, Darlene, informed me of Flo's passing, a great deal of memories flooded in. As I remembered, I realised a large component of my idea of "Home" came from Flo. As a child, I remember the magical feeling of pulling up the tree-lined driveway, the house always inviting. Flo gave me vintage books when I was little, too young to know their value but very aware of how much I loved them. And to this day, I eat from an ice cream sundae dish she gifted me as well. Thank you Flo, for being such an important part of my growing years. Your smile, raised eyebrow and laugh will forever be in my heart. - Deanna Overland ( Burnaby, BC)
