Obituary of Maria Polykandriotis
Polykandriotis, Maria (Mary)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maria Polykandriotis (nee Kostas), fondly referred to as Mary. Given the expectancy of three days, Mary showed her perseverance and fierce determination, spending another two weeks surrounded by family and visited by friends. During this time, she had the opportunity to relive some of life’s richest moments that were spoken to her by her family who never left her side. She passed away peacefully, with her loving father by her side. Beloved mother to Stavroula (Voula) and Athanasios (Tommy), cherished sister to Andriana (Aaron) Palmer and Christine (Andy) Kyriacou, and loving aunt to Dimitri, Cristiano, and Zachary. Loving parents Tom Kostas and Kay Kostas. She will be missed by family, friends and all who knew her. Mary will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty, compassion, sense of humor and of course her love of sports like no other. Mary, thank you for showing the world how to handle adversity in life with positivity, courage, and humor.
