Obituary of Manuel Pires

PIRES, Manuel De Medeiros. Passed away at St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Maria Pires (nee Pimentel). Loving father of Alice Dicker, Nelson (Barbara) of Alberta, Marlene Wallace of Guelph and Danny of British Columbia. Cherished Avô of Anthony, Jason, Joshua, Carlton, Mitchel, Zachary, Kaya and Marley. Survived by many relatives and friends. Manuel was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening in his backyard. He will be missed and always remembered by his family. The Pires family will receive relatives and friends for visitation at the Gilchrist Chapel – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Parish prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, 28 Norfolk Street, Guelph.
