Although we haven't seen Dave since he and Anne left Austin, he has never been far from our thoughts. So often we are reminded of an "instant classic" moment and/or one of his famous jokes and a smile comes to our faces. Rarely does one meet such an amazing person as Dave with his extreme intellect, witty sense of humour, and caring heart. We consider ourselves blessed to have known him. Thoughts and prayers to Anne, Sean, Erin, Meaghan, and your families.

Uncle Dave was always the life of the party. He always had a big smile on his face, was always laughing. He was a great storyteller. I'll really miss him a lot.

It's been many years since I last saw him (maybe early 2000's when he last visited Saint John?), I have many fond memories of Uncle Dave. He could certainly tell some tales, and carry a conversation. I don't know how he always had something to talk about. It was like a gift or a talent of his.
Keeping you all in my thoughts.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Dave a few times, but will always remember the interesting conversations we had. He had a vibrant, animated and humorous personality, and we shared our love for the Montreal Canadiens! Gerard and I would like to extend our deepest and sincerest condolences to the extended family, and especially to our much beloved Meaghan, Brendon, Caden and Kinley. May his soul rest in peace.

My heartfelt condolences to the family. I’d like to share my fondest memory of Dave. At birthday parties he was always involved in the most interesting and engaging conversations. His animated personality and wit made for such enjoyable conversations. Always such fun to be with.
