Dear Betty & family - our heartfelt and sincere sympathy in your loss of Al.
It was our privilege to meet Al and see the love and respect from his family. It was quite amazing that 2 hospital room mates could form such a strong bond in such a short time - sharing stories and laughter and tears. and we will always remember..We trust that happy memories and the caring of others will bring you strength and comfort at this difficult time,
Kurt & Lorie

Dear Betty and family, we are sending you our heartfelt sympathies in the passing of Al. He was such a great man. He was the best neighbour you could ever have, always willing to lend a helping hand no matter how busy he was. We loved his dry humour. We will miss " our over the fence " chats and laughs. May your beautiful memories be a blessing. He will be truly missed by all. May you rest in peace Al.

My heart grieves for this wonderful brother-in-law. He was so amazing to me, always making me laugh, throwing wicked knuckleballs to me when we played catch, and just being a tower of strength for me when I was growing up. I can’t put into words how difficult this is on me. He’s been in my life for as long as I can remember and I really looked up to him. Rest easy Al, you’re missed and loved and will never be forgotten.

I am so sorry to hear of this Betty, Ryan, and Darcy. Al was a great man, and I hold the years of playing baseball under his guidance in very high esteem. He really enjoyed watching us play, whether we were 15 years old or 35 years old, and I also watched his eyes light up at the sight of his wonderful grandchildren. My deepest, most sincere condolences to all of you

In 1972 Al was a member of the Chesley Juvenile hardball team that won ALL ONTARIO. A feat that has only been completed twice in the town’s history. RIP Al. Dale and Carole Woods.

Kevin and Lorie Smith; so sorry to hear about Als passing. Kevin loved working with Al in the meat department. Al had such a dry sense of humor which led to a alot of laughs in the meat department. Al and Kevin use to do a lot of bike riding and fishing with the kids. When my son was young, during one of our visits to see his Dad at Zehrs, he ran up to whom he thought was his dad from behind to give him a hug --- mistakenly, Al was the one who received the great big hug. Al will be greatly missed . please accept our heartfelt sympathies.
