My deepest sympathy for the loss of Shirley. She truly was an icon and plays some major roles in my childhood memories. I babysit for her when I was quite young and she helped me obtain my first job at Woolworth's. I loved sitting in her kitchen and listening to her stores.. She was the cool mom to me. I saw Shirley a few times in the last few years at the memorial services for other neighbours. . I always was happy to chat with her and discuss our memories from the early days of Vancouver Drive. My biggest regret is that I did not follow up on my promise to visit her. She is the last of the original Vancouver Drive moms. You will be missed.

I was so sorry to read about your Mom. She was always so full of life and enjoyed life to it's fullest. Treasure your memories of your Mom and keep them close to your heart always.
