Loving , Strong, Caring, Beautiful Woman.
We all have learnt so much from you and treasure the time we had.
You made anyone around you better just from knowing you.
Your beautiful smile and that laugh that lit up a room will stay in our hearts forever.
We had such a special relationship and I will always treasure that.
You taught us what unconditional love means and the true meaning of family.
May we all be able to carry even a small amount of your joy and spark of love and life through our journey of life.
Love you always
Karen

Where do I begin? I guess 53 years ago. I was 5 years old and was searching for my lost budgie when I stumbled upon her home. When her door opened I was confronted with the kindest smile and sparkling eyes along with a girl my own age.
Kathy and I became instant best buds!!!
The Reid home became my 2nd (well really my first home since I spent more time there then my own).
Mrs. Reid treated me as one of her own.
Where they went I got to tag along.
So many sleepovers, beach vacations, crazy dance athons, movie nights eating popcorn on the couch (one of her favourite snacks) so many, many cherished memories to name.
My family moved away and I was heart broken but
I knew at any time her Mom would welcome a visit with that same smile & sparkling eyes.
She was there with opened arms and comforting words when my mother died and again at the passing of my father. She ALWAYS made me feel like I had a mom in her.
I am so grateful that I was able to say goodbye. I will forever cherish that final laugh and I love you Colleen.
She brought a light that will be forever missed.

Mrs. Reid was a kind and loving soul. Whenever I seen her ,I could feel her kindness. She always showed up during the McKillop's hard times at funerals and have a kind word.
My condolences and prayers for the family. May you find peace in the wonderful memories of your mother and grandmother.
Take care

An amazing woman. She welcomed me with open arms when Amy and I started dating. I saw and felt the love she had for her family, and how much you all had for her. Having never been part of something like that, it was truly a sight to behold as we would all gather for holidays at Grandmas (and then Nana’s, as my boys would come to call her). She would take the time to have a chat with everyone, including me, this stranger who was now becoming part of her family, and that’s how I truly felt, that I was part of her family
I remember how she would comment how she liked that I was washing the dishes, and changing the diapers like it was the most amazing thing in the world—she appreciated me, and I couldn’t help but smile, I got Grandma’s seal of approval!
And then later, after COVID, we went for a visit, me, Amy, and the boys. We brought her a London Fog, and she liked it! And she saw my beard, which I had grown for the first time, she smiled, touched it and said, “Very Handsome”. I smiled—I got Grandma’s seal of approval again!!
In short, I’m better for having known her. The world is a better place for the wonderful family she created, and a sadder place in her absence.
She will be missed
