Byron 'Big Essy" was a classmate at Niagara Parks. I called several times to chat but was not able to connect. He was a one of a kind individuals....very creative on many things.. An excellent human who loved to talk philosophy and delve deeply into meanings and the future.' His saying of "that's something to tell your grandchildren" came back to me many times and I do tell our grandchildren a lot.
I am sorry for your loss of this amazing man.

To Byran's family...I offer my condolences on the passing of a most interesting and experienced gentleman. I am a volunteer at Allendale and we always had a nice chat when I helped him. But I wish I had known his full history especially about his rowing at the Argonaut Rowing Club many years ago. I, too, had an association there in Toronto with the Club. With respect...I wish you good memories. Sincerely, Laurie MacNab, Milton

I had the privilege of working with Byron while I was attending high school and university and holding a summer job with Shademaster Landscaping.
I remember Byron being a kind and interesting man who was also interested in who was "working" with his designs.
We use to kid around with him a bit and suggest we move a rock or plant here or there and he would very carefully explain why he had designed it the way he did!
He was also open to share his struggles and appreciated encouragement and gave it as well. I have fond memories of him.
My respects and condolences to his family.

On behalf of myself & my wife Karen, I would like to extend our sincere condolences on the passing of Byron to all the members of his family & friends.
As a volunteer at Allendale, I had the opportunity & privilege to spend a number of special moments with Byron (including those during the final days of his earthly life).
When Byron would come to our Tuck Shop (where I spend much of my time volunteering), I always enjoyed our quiet chats about matters of common interest.
Before leaving the Tuck Shop on his weekly visits, he would usually purchase a can of regular Nestea, a couple packages of Cheeto puffs, & a couple of Aero peppermint chocolate bars.
I will miss Byron & hope all of these treats are available to him (free of charge) in the wonder & beauty & glory of heaven.
