Obituary of Jean Mary Fisk
Suddenly, at home on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Paul Fisk (2001). Loving mother of Brenda and Barbara Fisk. Dear sister of Peggy Lee and sister-in-law of Olga Davidson. Loving aunt to John Lee (Mireille Raby), Wendy (Michael) Lee, Elizabeth Lee, and Andrew Davidson, Scott (Evelyn) Davidson, Julie Davidson (Ralph Pineau). Great aunt to Anna and Ian Lee, Michael Davidson, and Sophie Davidson. Predeceased by brothers Herbert (2012) and John (Jack) Davidson (2005), brother-in-law Fitzhugh Lee (2006) and son-in-law Robert (Bob) Smith (2010). Jean was a long time member of St. Lambert (Montreal) United Church, Erindale (Mississauga) United Church and Knox Presbyterian Church (Guelph). With Paul, Jean was Past President of the Toronto and District Square and Round Dance Association and the T&D Convention. Jean loved her childhood home in Chateauguay, QC, her early married life in Westmount and St. Lambert, and later years in Mississauga. She will be remembered for her selfless volunteering through church activities, Girl Guides with her daughters, Square and Round Dance events and committees, and on to helping others here in Guelph at The Elliott Community and St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Jean’s passion was always stamp collecting which she kept up diligently all her years. Jean appreciated her life at The Ellridge and the many new friends she made there. Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (519-824-0031) and at Knox Presbyterian Church, 20 Quebec St., Guelph. from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday, August 30 with a memorial service following at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment at Mt. Royal Cemetery, Montreal, QC at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Rotary Foundation Canada or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
