Obituary of James Newstead
NEWSTEAD, James Patrick Carter ~ This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad. On Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 2:15 a.m., James was welcomed home. The pain and suffering are things of the past; he has been set free. Beloved husband and soul mate of Elizabeth Ellen Newstead (Voogt). Loving son of Kathleen Newstead of Guelph and the late John Carter Newstead (2010). Dear brother of Andrew (Fern Cooper) of Guelph. James will be fondly remembered by Elizabeth’s children Jesse Allan and Marycca Voogt-Amirault, relatives, and many dear friends and acquaintances. James was born October 24, 1956, in Halifax Nova Scotia and raised in Guelph graduating from Centennial CVI. He later went on to graduate from Mohawk College pursuing a career as a late night radio host and in production with YTV. James was a proud Argo, Ti Cat and Toronto Rock fan. At James request, cremation has taken place.
