Plouffe, Simone (nee Gagné)
Passed away peacefully on October 3, 2018, one month short of 95 years, surrounded by her loving family, at St Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph, Ontario. Born on a farm in Saint-Fabien, Quebec in 1923, Simone was the last surviving daughter of Jean-Baptiste Gagné and Eva Gagné (Bellavance). She was happily married to Gilbert (Gil) Plouffe (1924-1990) for 39 years. Simone is lovingly remembered by her children Louise Plouffe (Michel Vincent), Michel Plouffe (Diann Shand) and Gisèle Angel (Harold Angel) and grandchildren Domenique, Nicholas (Savana Haynes), Alexander (Sarah Spach) and Danielle (Stig Harvik), as well as by many nieces and nephews and good friends in Ottawa, Ontario and Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. Simone was a schoolteacher, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a committed volunteer. She was spirited, independent and loved travel, fine cooking and entertaining. Celebration of Life and Open House at Gisèle's on Saturday, October 6 from 4 to 6 pm. Funeral mass and burial in Annapolis Royal in 2019.
