Obituary of Dewey McLeod
Formerly of Charlottetown, PEI, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, at the age of 78. Beloved son of the late Mary Ann and Sankey. Dear oldest brother and brother in law of Sid (late Fran), Verna Cameron (Brent), Carol LeClair (Ken), Bertha Richards (late Donnie), Roddie, Brendalee Stokes (Jack), Blair, Bernice and the late Manny. ‘Dew’ will also be missed by his many wonderful friends in the Equine Community of Guelph and Arkell, especially Annie and Muffie Guthrie; Dan (Maggie) McMaster and family and those who lent endless support on the farm he loved so much. His absence will be felt by many nieces, nephews and friends from Ontario to the East Coast. Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday). A Vigil service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass from St. Joseph’s Church, 409 Paisley Road, Guelph on Monday, February 11 at 11 a.m. Interment at a later date in PEI. Reception to follow mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hospice Wellington or Ontario Standardbred Adoption Society would be appreciated. We invite you to leave your memories and donations online.
