Obituary of Doreen Wynn

Wynn, Doreen Helen (nee Fryer) Doreen Helen (Fryer) Wynn passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington on Monday, July 4, 2022 in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late John Wynn (2000) for 46 years. Doreen is survived by her loving son John and his wife Christie. Treasured grandmother of Emma. She will be missed by her sister Judy Varcoe and sisters-in-law Edith Fryer and Glenna Fryer. She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. Predeceased by her parents Herbert and Laura (Hall) Fryer, her siblings Elmer, Norman, Bill, Betty Hare, Jim, Marion McDermott, and Mae French and her brothers-in-law Hank French, Ralph Lunn, Frank Hare, and Jim McDermott. Doreen was a long-time member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Guelph. She also volunteered for 25 years at June Avenue Public School. Special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington for their care of Doreen in her final days. Visitation will be held at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph, (519-824-0031) on Tuesday August 9th from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Celebration of Doreen's life will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 161 Norfolk Street, Guelph (at Suffolk Street) on Wednesday August 10th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to Hospice Wellington 519-836-3921; St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Guelph 519-822-4772; Guelph and District Shrine Club or the Terry Fox Foundation 1-888-836-9786 would be appreciated.
