Obituary of Frances Bates

Bates, Frances Marie Passed away at Wellington Terrace, Fergus on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at the age of 91 years. Frances was the beloved wife of Thomas. Loving mother of Tom (Laurel); grandmother of Michelle Regts (Jessie) and Spence Bates; great grandmother of Arabella and Dylan. She is survived by her sister Emily Bolzan and her brother Eric Ostrander. Frances will be remembered for her fine art of sewing, her delicious baking and her love of gardening. She was a whiz with numbers, preferring her mind over a calculator. The family has had a private burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park cemetery. Memorial contributions to Alzheimer Society of Canada in Frances’ name would be appreciated by the family.
