It is with great sadness we announce the passing of James (Jim) Alton Mutter on Saturday, December 19, 2020, in his 92 year. Beloved husband of 68 years to Marion (nee Long). Loving father of Larry (Josie) of Moncton NB, Connie of Guelph, Dianne (Scott) Collins of Cambridge, Melanie of Guelph, and Brant (Christina) of Fergus. Grandpa to Che (Tia) of Victoria BC, Trevor Collins of Cambridge, Nicole (Matt) Corbett of Collingwood, Adam Ostryznik of Guelph, Candice (Brett) Hibbs of Guelph, Brittnee McConaghy of Guelph, Jenny of Burlington and Lisa of Guelph. Great grandma of Caitlyn, Mason and Tyson Collins, Lily Corbett, Persephone and Saffron Hibbs and Fin McConaghy. Loving brother of Crystal (Ron) and brother in-law of Doris (Fred) Perry of Creemore. Predeceased by his parents Nelson and Wilma Mutter, sister Beatrice and Son Blaine.
Jim was born September 22, 1929 in Moorefield, ON. He was the oldest of his family born with farming in his blood. He loved farms; farming and anything to do with farming. He worked at the University of Guelph farms for 35 years until retiring to his own 100 acres in Grey County where he farmed 25 years. Jim and Marion then moved to Fergus to be closer to family. Jim moved to Wellington Terrace Long Term Care where he lived to his last day in Cedar Grove looking at the tractor and fields. Jim will be dearly missed and always in our heart. Cremation will take place with burial of cremated remains at Farnham Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
