Obituary of Elsie Jones

Jones, Elsie ~ Peacefully on Saturday May 7th, 2016 at Roberta Place Nursing Home, Barrie. Elsie (Hogg) Jones in her 97th year. Wife of the late Allan Jones (2002). Beloved mother of Linda McCorkindale (Bill) of Guelph and Bob Jones (Meg) of Barrie. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Armand,Todd (Jen), Cody (Kerri), Zac (Megan) and her great grandchildren Grace, Molly, Levon, and Riley. Predeceased by her brother Thomas Hogg and daughter-in-law Nan Jones. Elsie was a member of the Major Robert Mutrie IODE for over 67 years, a member of Cutten Fields, the Guelph Curling Club, a volunteer with the Guelph Housing Authority and the Children’s Aid Society. Elsie enjoyed playing bridge and loved having lunch with her friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Elsie’s life will be held on Saturday June 11th, 2016 in Elsie’s garden at 19 Lincoln Cres. From 2:00-4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions to the MS Society Simcoe County Chapter or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
