Obituary of David "Merk" Merkley

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Guelph General Hospital at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Ida (Hamilton) for 64 years. Devoted father of Linda McCorkindale (Jim), Carol Speers (Jerry), Frank (Kim), Donna Foran (Mike) and Ray (Val). Cherished Grandpa of Shawndra, Carrie (Nick), Justin, Genne, Joshua, Amanda (Tyson), Keera, Madison, Tanisha, Jared, Carson and Naomi. Much loved Great Grandpa of Jesse and Brandon. Dear brother of Frances Walser (Ron). David is predeceased by his sons James (1964) and David (1971) and by his granddaughter, Amelia (1999). Friends may call at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL – McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph for a for a one hour visitation on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. A private interment will take place at a later date at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
